Our Process

As a marketing leader, you want to use innovative ways to get powerful results for your brand, your boss and your team. It feels good to be part of something big and to of course to love your brand!

But over time, there are more projects, more initiatives, more stakeholders and more channels. You are of the highest quality, but you and your team are simply spread too thin… and you are afraid that you are all going to risk burnout and let everyone else down in the process. That dream of something big is fading away, and when you look at the execution, you don’t exactly love your brand.

In order to get quality performance and reduce the risk of burnout  you need to focus on the things that work the best instead of a little of everything. We have helped dozens of businesses go from being spread too thin to something big. In order to succeed, you cannot satisfy everyone, but you can execute a handful of things very, very well.

Our process helps you focus on what is important, and achieve your outcomes.

JB Network uses a unique process to get results

For New Initiatives:

  1. Insight: Research the marketplace and build personas, so that you understand your prospect more than they understand themselves.
  2. Test: Do a series of small initiatives to test your ideas during the insight function. Methods include content, social and direct marketing, testing messaging and creative along the way.
  3. Unite: Get everyone excited about the changes, and help them understand why.
  4. Scale: Scale the things that work, leaving what does not work behind.
  5. Plan: Build a plan and KPIs.

For Ongoing Initiatives:

  1. Insight: Understand what you are currently doing and see what is working and what isn’t. Research the marketplace and build personas, so that you understand your prospect more than they understand themselves.
  2. Refine: Take what is working into the future, build on what has moderate success and leave the time-wasting stuff behind.
  3. Test: Do a series of small tests if needed based on insights. Methods include content, social and direct marketing, testing messaging and creative along the way.
  4. Unite: Get everyone excited about the changes, and help them understand why.
  5. Scale: Scale the things that work, leaving what does not work behind.
  6. Plan: Build a plan and KPIs to be reviewed regularly.

You are determined to do well, and bring everyone else with you. It is not about quantity, but about quality. You have known that intuitively for a while now… but now it is time to put it into action.

If you don’t… then things will continue as they are. At first, everyone is excited about new initiatives and impressed that you are able to juggle so much. But, eventually, the salespeople will come looking for leads, leadership will be asking for a return and a good cost per acquisition, and you have nothing to show except vague notions of “branding impressions” and “awareness”. You will talk about why the initiatives “had potential” but you won’t have results to back it up. They will see you as doing a bunch of “busy work” that does not really amount to much. You are just cranking out “stuff”… but what is the point? Finally, and perhaps worst of all, your team members that you wish to inspire will lose their spark and drive.

Instead, you could be that person who is executing on a few things very well. At first, some people may be sad to see pet projects go, but ultimately leadership will unite behind a vision that will bring them the results that they want or have promised to shareholders. This is not just “pretty marketing stuff” but marketing tools designed to create results. You will update them regularly on KPIs and show your progress. Everyone will sense a difference in determination and vision. You will break new ground where needed, and scale out old methods in new ways. You will be that achiever and others will be envious of the energized and up-and-coming talent on your team. You will be key in helping your company achieve a leadership position in your market.
